It's easy to confuse registered dietitians with other professions. But

us, we'll evaluate all aspects of your life. What you are currently easting,
your exercise level, your daily schedule and medical history. We'll determine

So, what does it take to be an RD?
Education, experience and patience. Aimee Mattiolo has her Bachelor of
Science from the University of Arizona, and JoAnn Randazzo has her Bachelors
of Science from Queens College. After our schooling, we were required
to complete a supervised internship of 900 hours to be eligible to sit
for registration. To become registered, we passed am extensive examination
administered by the Commission on Dietetics registration. In addition,
we are required to complete continuing education credits to keep us at
the forefront of today's nutrition knowledge, as well as to maintain our
registration.
After meeting with us, you'll see that our nutrition education and training
is unsurpassed. While physicians, nurses, gym personal and health store
staff may offer you nutrition advice, no one has the experience, education
and training of an RD.
What is the healthiest investment out there?
Like most professional, registered dietitians in private practice charge
by the hour or session. Our fees have been determined based on our education,
experience and other factors. Before you meet with an RD, talk about costs
and determine how many consultations you will need. Usually after and
initial meeting, you will visit for progress reports and updates. No matter
how you look at it, working with an RD is one of the smartest investments
you can ever make in your health.

While there seems to be a top ten list for everything, there are no "healthiest"
foods. In fact, it's misleading to categorize foods as being "good"
or "bad". Every body is different and everybody has different
needs. We can help you determine what foods are best for you.

A recent report mentions that 55% of adults are overweight or obese. The
number of 4- and 5 year old children who are overweight or obese has almost
doubled in the past 20 years from 5.8% to 10%. We'll work with you to
